Carminda Soares is a multidisciplinary artist working between dance, performance and literature.
Her work focuses mainly on the research for new choreographic and textual devices, working about different states of intimacy, resistance and aggression.
Her projects have been presented in different artistic contexts, of which she highlights “Simulacro” (2022) in collaboration with Margarida Montenÿ and “It’s a long yesterday” (2021), created in partnership with Maria R Soares. She wrote “Light On Light” (2022), published at Festival – Livro END with the artistic and editorial direction of Mickaël de Oliveira and later performed at Teatro Académico Gil Vicente.
Besides her own crations has been collaborating as a performer and cocreator with different national and international artists including: Catarina Miranda, Lisa Freeman, Ao Cabo Teatro, BCN, Victor Hugo Pontes, Lara Russo etc.
