The Women’s Defense Network is holding an online conversation with Portuguese writer and artist Nadia Duvall, known for her autobiographical works, on art, borders, migration and the states of womanhood, on Wednesday, December 22, at 3.30 pm (GMT) 6:30 pm (Turkish Time) (GMT+3).
The artist, born in 1986, constructs her works in which she deals with current issues related to philosophy, religion and politics, in hybrid forms in which she combines multiple tools such as painting, literature, performance, sound, video and installation. Emphasizing that the stories she tells are both her own and part of the universal historical context, the artist says that her works are a part of the collective memory.
