Margarida Rêgo was born in 1986, Lisbon, Portugal. She studied at Fine Arts Academy in Lisbon and recently finished her master degree at the Royal College of Arts in London. Her background is in graphic design and she is one the founders of the studio ilhas. Margarida in parallel to her graphic design practise she is interested in questioning history and the consequences that historical happenings have in the present time. At the moment she is working on Portugal, about how not to lose a country, and about how to transform the idea of country. In 2014 she did her first short-film called “The Revolution Hunter”.
